Concert For Max

A Benefit Concert for Max Merritt. Palais Theatre, Sunday 21st October 2007

The Australian Entertainment industry rallied in support of one of Australia's biggest rock stars of the 1960s and 1970s, Max Merritt, who has fallen on hard times since being admitted to a U.S. hospital after suffering kidney failure. McLean Audio Services (MAS) were privileged to be able to supply audio production for this event which was held at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda.

FOH operator Noel Bennett was supported by Paul Mossop, Adam Alderuccio, Tim West and Jarrod Mitchell.

Max Merritt will be inducted into the 2008 ARIA Hall of Fame in ceremony to be held in Melbourne on July 1, 2008.

Equipment

The majority of equipment was drawn from the extensive MAS inventory and included Digico D-1 (supplied by Group Technologies) FOH, Yamaha PM5D-RH Monitors, MAS System #2 Control Package, XTA DP 226, EAW KF750, KF755, SB218 sublows, EAW JF80, MP122 wedges, Crest PRO 8200 & CA-12 amplifiers, Shure UR series wireless.

Festival Melbourne 2006

The cultural celebration of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. 15-26 March 2006.

Festival Melbourne 2006 brought together over 2,000 artists and performers from across the Commonwealth in Australia's largest free festival of arts and culture. McLean Audio Services (MAS) were privileged to be the chosen audio audio contractor for events held at the Melbourne Alexandra Gardens and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

Project managed by Peter Jago for MAS, working in association with Mikkel Mynster and Emma Anderson from Arts Projects Australia, it was McLean Audio Services largest project to date and employed over forty full-time and casual staff over a four week period, including pre-production, installation, operation and bump out. We would like to thank every crew member involved for their tireless efforts in ensuring the success of this major event.

Equipment

The majority of equipment was drawn from the extensive MAS inventory. Over thirty channels of Shure UHF radio mics and sixteen Shure PSM 700 IEM systems were utilised. Below is an outline of the equipment provided.
